Tony Hewitt - An Insight
Throughout his photography career spanning over 20 years, Tony Hewitt’s work has attracted numerous awards in Australia and overseas. His images cover several genres including landscape, illustrative, wedding and portrait. It is his ability to capture exquisite and distinctive images of people and the landscape that has set him apart as one of Australia's leading photographic artists.
With an instinctive awareness of people, Tony is a moving and resourceful speaker, who touches the heart and changes perspectives. He is regularly invited to present on a diverse range of photographic topics.

A winner of the Western Australia EPSON Professional Photographer of the Year in 2004, Tony is a ‘Grand Master of Photography' of the Australian Institute of Professional Photography (AIPP).
He is an Honorary Fellow of the AIPP and a Fellow of the New Zealand Institute of Professional Photography.
His photography awards are numerous and include:
- 2010 – A Gold Distinction and two Silver Distinctions AIPP Award
- 2010 – Eight WPPI, Las Vegas accolades of excellence, including 1st place Landscape, and 2nd place in Commercial/Industrial Categories
- 2009 – Six WPPI, Las Vegas accolades of excellence, and 3rd place in the Commercial/Illustrative/Editorial Category
- 2009 – Runner-up in the Australian Illustrative Photographer of the Year

Tony is equally at home when presenting to, or facilitating conferences, within and outside the photographic arena. He has co-authored a series of nine short books.
His work has received over one hundred state, national and international photography awards.
He has judged photography competitions and awards at state, national and international levels for over fifteen years.
